Return to School information for Jan. 14th

Return to School information for Jan 14th
Posted on 01/11/2021
A message from Superintendent, Dr. Blake:
As a reminder, all Pike County Schools will resume a regular schedule on Thursday, Jan 14. All students should be at school that day and will follow a regular class schedule.
As we return, please remember to follow the recommended guidelines for your health and that of others. Do not attend school if you are feeling sick or displaying symptoms. Remember to wash your hands, maintain social distance, and wear your mask when around others. The school corporation will continue to follow the 14-day quarantine guidelines as recommended by the CDC (Screening Guidance).
As we move through second semester, there may be times that your student will have to quarantine. There may be times that one building will operate on a modified schedule while other buildings in the corporation do not. Please have a plan ready that meets your family's needs.
There are also a couple of calendar updates that I want you to be aware of -
1) The Flex Day scheduled for Jan 29 has been cancelled. Teachers will have Professional Development meetings prior to students' return on Jan 14 so that classes can be held on Jan 29.
2) There was an error on the 2020-2021 calendar that was posted at the beginning of the school year. Monday, Feb 15 is an observed holiday so there is no school on that day, although it was originally designated as a make-up snow day if needed. The calendar states that Friday, Feb 5 was the snow day and that is incorrect. School will be in session on Feb. 5 but not on Feb 15.
Thank you.
