Free School Meals for PCHS & PCMS

Free School Meals for PCHS & PCMS
Posted on 09/12/2020
Good Morning,
The USDA has provided schools with COVID-19 relief funds for school meals for the remainder through December 31, 2020. These funds will allow ALL students in grades 6-12 to receive school meals (breakfast and lunch) free of charge, regardless of their economic status.
This will begin on Monday, September 14, 2020, and will continue until December 31, 2020 or until the USDA communicates that federal funds have been exhausted. Our Middle School and High School will participate in this program for as long as funds allow. We will notify families of any changes to the program or if funds run out before the end of December. Eligibility for the funding can be backdated to September 1st, therefore, all students accounts will be reimbursed for eligible breakfasts or lunches purchased from September 1, 2020 through September 11, 2020.
Under the guidelines of this program, each student is allowed one breakfast and one standard lunch at no cost. This does not apply to ala carte items or extra items that may be purchased.
Participation in this program does not impact the eligibility of our elementary schools for the CEP program currently in place. This is a new funding program just released from the USDA.
